CCL, with its local partner COSKA, is seeking a National Gender Consultant for the ADAEBIO2 integrated rural development project in Oudomxay Province, Laos. This project, targeting 50 ethnic minority villages, focuses on strengthening agroecosystems, local governance, and knowledge sharing, with a strong transversal gender approach.
The consultant will be instrumental in addressing gender inequalities prevalent in rural Oudomxay, particularly concerning women’s access to education, decision-making, and economic opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and facilitating a gender training workshop for project staff.
- Leading the development of a comprehensive project gender strategy.
- Training and coaching the COSKA gender officer on delivering gender-related modules and implementing the strategy.
This 12-day consultancy, primarily based in Oudomxay, requires expertise in gender issues, experience in facilitating gender approaches in rural Lao contexts, and strong English writing skills. Women candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
