PROJECT OFFICER

German-Lao Association Objectives
• To develop a partnership for development between Germany and Laos for grass root participative development initiatives
• To strengthen the capacity of communities through identifying and addressing their needs whilst emphasizing the Millennium Development Goals (poverty eradication, water, education, gender equality and health)
• To strengthen the capacity of Government counterparts and NPA staff members involved in rural community development through designated training and study tours
• To promote cultural exchange activities between Germany and Laos

GLAD is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Lao national who is flexible, effective team worker and can demonstrate the following skills, knowledge, and experience for kindergartens and early childhood education for the development of rural communities of marginalized ethnic groups.

Position: 1 Project Officers
Duty station: Samouay district

Responsible for overall project implementation and ensure the project objectives and it set indicators are met within timeline and budget

Keys duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for project implementation in responsible district
• Monitor project activities and report matters for discussion and find solution.
• Manage project activities budget of responsible district.
• Coordinate workshop, training and meeting concerning project activities.
• Responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly project planning /reporting
• Coordinate various meeting/visiting with government partners in district and village levels concerning project activities.
• Coordinating Project Steering Committee meeting and it concern activities.
• Provide support to other projects across organizational as required.
• Ensure good teamwork among project team.
• Ensure projects comply with local authority regulation.
• Line manages Village Advisors

Qualifications and experience:
• University degree, preferably in the field of education and business or another relevant field
• Minimum three years of working experience in development projects, preferable early childhood education.
• Experience from working in an international organisation and in a multi-cultural office environment preferable.
