HELVETAS Laos is a development organization operating in Laos since 2001 and aims to support the Government
of Laos to achieve its socio-economic development goal by supporting the rural communities to overcome poverty
in a manner that is socially just, environmentally sustainable, and economically viable.
HELVETAS Laos is looking for LURAS is seeking a consultant or consultancy firm with proven experience in content
writing, editing, and knowledge development—preferably in the agriculture or development sector— with a solid
understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for the Lao Upland Rural Advisory Services Project (LURAS
Project Phase III) funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

Expected
deliverables
• Support the project team with editing and proofreading of project reports, knowledge
products, and other communication materials in both English and Lao.
• Content writing for a variety of knowledge products, such as case studies, lessons
learned documents, success stories, and project briefs.
• Synthesize and summarize findings from M&E reports, interviews, and field
documentation.
• Structure and write knowledge products in a clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate
manner.
• Provide layout and graphic design suggestions (and coordinate with Helvetas HQ as
needed).
• Assist in creating and editing English-language social media content based on
information from the project team.
Essential
Qualification
and skills
• Proven experience in content development, editing, and knowledge management for
development projects (agriculture sector experience preferred).
• Fluent writing and editing skills in both English and Lao (samples in both languages may
be requested).
• Ability to translate complex technical content and M&E findings into accessible, engaging
writing.
• Experience producing and designing knowledge products for development stakeholders
(donors, government, CSOs, etc.).
• Experience working with or understanding Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems
and data.
