Consultant Assignment
 Position:                        Consultant for Inclusive livelihood for CRxN II project

Supervised by:              Livelihood Project officer

Work location:              Pakse’s field office, WWF-Laos

Duration:                        9 months (April to December 2026)

  1. Objective

The primary objective of this volunteer role is to support implementation of inclusive livelihood initiatives and Village Development Fund (VDF) activities in seven target villages of Khong District, Champasak Province, helping to strengthen community resilience and sustainable income generation.

  1. Scope of work/ Major responsibility
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating livelihood-related activities including (1) training and meetings (e.g., production groups, household model…).
  • Support monthly monitoring of VDF in 7 villages
  • Support the monitoring of income-generating activities and collection of basic performance data.
  • Document good practices and community feedback (photos, stories, notes).
  • Provide logistical and coordination support for village-based activities regarding the livelihood activities.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of livelihood trainings with DLF and WWF-Laos staff.
  • Assist in coordination with PAEO, DLF, and LFS and communities to ensure timely and effective implementation of livelihood activities.
  • Participate in monthly planning and monitoring with relevant government offices and compile feedback and issues from target villages for the supervisor.
  • Prepare necessary documents and field materials before and after the field visit.
  • Contribute to the reporting process, including field trip reports, quarterly reports and annual reports.
  • Assist in collecting livelihood data, ensuring all data is completed and reviewed by the supervisor.
  • Provide support on other tasks as requested by supervisor, including VDF activities, awareness-raising activities, and admin/finance-related tasks.
  • Ensure the livelihood activities in inclusive, GEDSI mainstreamed.
  1. Qualifications and Experience

Education/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Diploma/ bachelor or recent graduate in environmental science, rural development, agriculture, and related field.
  • Experience in engaging with people/communities in delivering project will be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with computer applications/software (e.g. MS offices, Words, Excel).
  • Experience in working with local communities of Laos.
  • Experience in data collection and data entry.
  • Background in livelihood development activities and community outreach is advantaged and desirable.

  • Willingness to travel and work in remote village settings.
  • English communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and think proactively.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and openness to new challenges.
