Humanity and Inclusion (HI) has been active in Lao P.D.R. since 1996. The organization’s vision is of a Lao society where all adults and children live as equal individuals in a safe environment. Human Resources demands is increasing to support both humanitarian and development projects as well as the implementation of Stratop and the integration with South East Asia Program,

The South East Asia Program includes operations in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar and Thailand. The Regional Program Office is based in different countries of the program, but mainly in Vientiane. The first Regional Operational Strategy will be conceived in 2024-2025 for the next 5 years (2025-2030).  HI is engaged in an employment policy in favour of disabled workers. position: Accountant Controller (Regional).

Position type: Full Time

Type of contract:  1-year, fixed duration contract (potential to be extended).

Base location: Vientiane Capital (6 countries in the area)

This position is particular because it will work at regional level under the direct management of the regional finance manager and technical supervision of HQ accountant referent. He/she will be the focal point for all accountancy questions of the 6 countries of the regional program. The Accounting Controller function is the breaking up of the accounts management skill of the Regional Finance Manager, which he/she takes full responsibility, in particular for the integration, revision, correction, consolidation and validation of the accounts. He or she is also responsible for ensuring that supporting documents are archived and accounting standards are met.

The Accountant Controller (Regional)’s some 5 bullet points:

• Ensures the deployment and the monitoring of HI’s accounting policies and tools in all the countries of the region.
• Oversees the internal control of his/her area of responsibility
• Ensures accounts management: focal point for the accounting teams of the 6 countries and for the HQ technical referent; compliance; audits
• Contributes to recruitments link with his/her area of responsibility (accountant, cashier…)
• Develop the capacities of all the teams within his/her area of responsibility: accountancy, audits…

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant field;3 years of study in accountancy/audit/finance;
• 5 years of experience working in the accounting field of INGOs);
• Very good capacity in coaching, training, communicating and remote work an experience at coordination level or multi country-bases supervision will be an added-value;

• Good knowledge of Navision and Excel;
• Ready to move from one country to another (6 countries in the area);
• Open minded, integrity, ethics, team spirit, Patience and pedagogy, Humanitarian value.
• Fluent communicate in English

HI offers: approximate Gross salary rank: A2/Level 1,105 $– 1,210 $(Pay in LAK) based on experiences + benefits (13th month, insurances, etc.).
