Program Description
Winrock International-USAID Laos Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) project is a Five years Project (2017-2022) and expect to extend the MOU up to 2024. The USAID Laos CTIP Project focus on reducing vulnerability to human trafficking among vulnerable and disadvantaged people and victims of human trafficking in Six target provinces: Vientiane Capital, Savannakhet, Champasack, Salavan, Luangnamtha and Oudomxay. USAID Laos CTIP will address vulnerability by providing preventive services, vocational and life skills training, other support leading to employment and other economic opportunities. Winrock is willing to work with the National Secretariat to the National Steering Com The project will be jointly implemented with the National Secretariat to the National Steering Committee on Counter Trafficking in Persons, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and other relevant ministries as the lead agencies in assisting vulnerable and disadvantaged people and people at risk for human trafficking.
