Program Description

Winrock International-USAID Laos Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) project is a seven-year project (2017-2024) that focus on reducing vulnerability to human trafficking among vulnerable and disadvantaged people and victims of human trafficking. The project operates in six target provinces: Vientiane Capital, Savannakhet, Champasack, Salavan, Luangnamtha and Oudomxay. USAID Laos CTIP addresses reduction of vulnerability by providing preventive actions such as awareness raising, vocational and life skills training, and employment linkages; support to enhanced identification and protection service provision to survivors of human trafficking; and support to the Government of Lao PDR for enhanced coordination. The USAID Laos CTIP implements the project with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare as the main counterpart along with other government and development partners.
