A world in which we all treat each other with respect and appreciation. A peaceful world where communities have learned to resolve conflicts constructively. A world in which children are strong and develop in a self-determined manner. In which they have opportunities and rights and can exercise them. Children should be able to acquire knowledge and skills and make their own experiences – we support them in this worldwide.
Program Description
The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation is a Swiss organization which offers disadvantaged children and adolescents worldwide access to education and encourages peoples from different cultural backgrounds to live together peacefully as it is politically and religiously neutral.
PCF currently works with local partner organisations of Luang Namtha Teacher Training College (LNTTC) and Life Skills Development Association (LSDA) in enhancing early childhood and primary education focusing on Green & Clean School approach, literacy and numeracy. In supporting its local partner organisations, an integrated participatory approach–Intercultural Education, Participatory Learning and Action, and Participatory Action Research have been adopted and routinely apply to the whole project cycle: planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
