Pestalozzi Children's Foundation

Mission Statement
The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation works to support children and youths. The Children’s Village in Switzerland is a venue for intercultural exchange that allows young people from different backgrounds to meet, thereby engendering an understanding of different cultures. In its work abroad, the Foundation makes it possible for disadvantaged children to have regular access to high quality education.
Program Description
The Pestalozzi Children’s Foundation is a Swiss organization which offers disadvantaged children and adolescents worldwide access to education and encourages peoples from different cultural backgrounds to live together peacefully as it is politically and religiously neutral.
PCF works with Dongkhamxang Teacher Training College (DTTC) in the integration of new innovation such as Indigenous Knowledge (IK), Mother Tongue-Based/Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) media, Green & Clean School, Child Protection into the pre-service teacher training curricula. In supporting its local partner organisations, an integrated participatory approach–Intercultural Education, Participatory Learning and Action, and Participatory Action Research have been adopted and routinely apply to the whole project cycle: planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
