Swisscontact Lao PDR in Vientiane is pleased to invite all interested community-based organizations and civil society organizations (CSOs) to submit proposals for the implementation of community-based waste management or recycling solutions under the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Lao Project.

2. SPECIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT
The SCP Lao Project aims to strengthen the capacities of Lao CSOs to promote sustainable consumption and production with a focus on women and youth. This call seeks innovative solutions for waste separation, collection, storage, and recycling in villages without access to existing waste services (e.g., Chomphet and Ngoi districts, Luang Prabang Province). The project should demonstrate environmental impact, community participation, and gender inclusion.
The expected information in your proposal should include but not limited to the following:
Objective: Develop and pilot community-based waste management or recycling solutions in selected villages without existing waste services (Chomphet, Ngoi districts, Luang Prabang Province).
Activities: Conduct feasibility assessment, design and implement local waste systems (separation, collection, storage, recycling), and promote community awareness and participation. Inclusion Ensure engagement of women, youth, and ethnic communities in all
stages of planning and implementation.
Monitoring: Track progress, evaluate results, and provide recommendations for scaling and sustainability.
Budget: Must not exceed $10,000 (70% intervention, 30% administration) and must be implemented within the districts of the SCP Lao project.
Duration: 15 November 2025 – 1 January 2026
Location: Luang Prabang Province (Chomphet and Ngoi districts)
