Swisscontact Lao PDR in Vientiane is pleased to invite all interested community-based organizations and civil society organizations (CSOs) to submit proposals for the development of a uniquely Lao green or upcycled handicraft under the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Lao Project.
1. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

2. SPECIFICATION OF EQUIPMENT
The SCP Lao Project supports Lao CSOs in promoting sustainable consumption and production with a focus on women and youth. This call seeks creative product ideas that are environmentally friendly, marketable, and culturally “Uniquely Lao.”. The developed product should use upcycled or natural materials and aim to increase income opportunities for local groups, especially women, youth, ethnic, or disabled persons. The expected information in your proposal should include but not limited to the following:
Objective: Develop innovative “Uniquely Lao” handicrafts or souvenirs made from upcycled or natural materials.
Activities: Design at least two detailed product concepts with production techniques, materials, and designs suitable for women, youth, or ethnic/disabled groups.
Pilot plan: Prepare a pilot strategy for one selected product and identify key challenges or bottlenecks in production and market access.
Sustainability: Ensure the use of locally available, eco-friendly materials and integrate knowledge transfer to community-based producers.
Budget: Must not exceed $5,000 (70% intervention, 30% administration) and must be implemented within the districts of the SCP Lao project.
Duration: 15 November 2025 – 1 January 2026
Location: Districts covered by the SCP Lao Project
