CSO Project Officer, WWF-Laos
Position title: CSO Project Officer, WWF-Laos
Location: Vientiane Capital, Laos
The CSO Project Officer provides administrative, logistical, and monitoring support to ensure the effective implementation of the CSO program. The role supports day-to-day coordination with CSO partners, facilitates project activities, and contributes to financial and data management in alignment with project goals. The CSO Project Officer ensure day-to-day project activities and operations run smoothly and support the Project Manager in achieving project goals.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- CSO Partner Support: Coordinate with CSO sub-grantees on project deliverables, reporting schedules, and capacity-building activities.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute to develop, monitor, review and update projects’ activities work plan to ensure that the project attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible;
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Support outreach, awareness campaigns, and facilitate communication between WWF, CSOs, and local communities.
- Data and Reporting: Collect, organize, and input monitoring data from CSO partners and field activities; Contributing to the preparation of project reports and other necessary documentation.
- Administrative Tasks:Assisting with correspondence, document preparation, and record-keeping.
- Logistical Support:Arranging meetings, workshops, travel, and accommodation for project staff and partners.
- Financial Support:Tracking project expensesand ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management and administration management or equivalent minimum 5 years’ work experience.
- Experience in community development, social studies, monitoring and evaluation, natural resources management, environmental or conservation management, and/or in the CSO /NGO sector will be an advantage.
Other Qualifications Required:
- Lao nationality, Fluent in Lao and good command of English (other dialects a plus)
- Project and administrative management experience with proven stakeholder relationship management skills
- At least 3 years of practical experience supporting project teams to deliver conservation related projects, preferably in either international NGOs, International Agencies (i.e. UN, EU) or bilateral development agencies;
- Confident with liaising with Government officials, local communities, suppliers and donor representatives;
- Works well independently and as a team player.
- Demonstrates multi-tasking abilities, problem solver, shows initiative and willing to share ideas and perspectives

- Must uphold and actively advocate WWF’s GEDSI, Inclusive Conservation and ESSF policies throughout all project activities
- Working relationships: Internal – Engage on a regular basis with the WWF-Laos Partnership team and interacts regularly with staff in the Vientiane office. Occasionally field staff, project managers and leads. External – Interact with CSOs partners and all relevant stakeholders at the community, district, and provincial level of provinces in the landscape. Interact with central government partners, CSOs network, NGOs, third party contractors and consultants such as auditors on an ad-hoc basis.
