GIZ/AIZ Course on Digital Health Policy in Bangkok

Dear Partners,

I would like to forward the below information about a course on Digital Health Policy design which will run in Bangkok, in collaboration with the GIZ/AIZ Training Institute very soon, in case you would like to support our counterparts to participate or wish to participate yourself.

The objective of the course is to make participants able to explore digital health challenges being faced in a country and to identify solutions to leverage digital health technologies to the benefits of the health systems they are engaged with. The first Digital Health Policy Course was successfully conducted in Heidelberg, Germany in February 2019. Government officials, development partner representatives and people from the consultancy sector were joining the first course and this mix was considered as extremely useful. The chicken and egg problem (and how to solve it) became very visible on the first day of the workshop already when government officials realized that they can't expect successful digital interventions - supported by development partners - if they don't have a proper vision, mission and strategy in place. At the same time, development partners understood clearly that purely technology-driven digital projects may harm more than they help if not carefully considered in a comprehensive approach.

The course dates are: June 24th to 28th, 2019, Bangkok, Thailand. Registration must be done as soon as possible.

As the course will be hosted by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ/AIZ), please click on http://training.aiz.thai-german-cooperation.info/index.php/training/2-training/435-digital-health-policy-course-24-28-june-2019#appform for registration.
