Programme Quality and Learning Officer
World Concern is a faith-based, non-governmental organization headquartered in the U.S.  WC has relief and development operations in 13 countries with the aim of alleviating suffering and improving quality of life for the poorest of the poor. In Laos, World Concern is implementing Integrated Development Programs addressing food security, health, education, livelihoods and safe migration in Sekong and Champasack Provinces.  

Position: Programme Quality and Learning Officer


Purpose:   To support project managers to  manage increased application of quality programming, to coach their field staff effectively and to use project monitoring and stories for learning that is applied and for reporting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         To support project managers to ensure monitoring data from villages and projects are collected, entered and used to learn and improve.

·         To work with the projects to ensure that Learning systems (LiLA) are applied daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and Bi-annually so that project activity and budget planning is responsive to lessons learnt

·         To ensure that learning, competency, standards and monitoring data is entered to project dashboard and used to track progress and quality within the project.

·         To work alongside project teams to coach and ensure quality planning is applied through quality facilitation and project implementation

·         To coordinate with project managers to ensure stories from the field and monitoring information is collected and used for donor reporting and accountability.

Minimum Skills & Education required:

·         Demonstrates spirit of service and cooperation and a high level of values compatibility with World Concern

·         Bachelors degree in  Business Administration, Management, or development discipline and at least 4 years relevant work experience

·         Demonstrated skills in computer, (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

·         Good command of English and Lao, Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

·         Strong communication, organizational and inter-personal skills

·         Known for reliability, trust worthiness, service minded and transparency
