Support to DPO Project Officer

 Handicap International (HI) is currently seeking a qualified and motivated person to work in the position of Support to DPO Project Officer

Position type: Full Time

 Base location: Vientiane Capital with sometime travel to other province

 Main responsibilities:

·           Support LDPA, NCDE, DPOs and SHGs to develop the capacity development action plans for their staffs.

·           Support LDPA, DPOs, NCDE staff to implement activities and organization of meetings and workshops.

·           Collect qualitative and quantitative information related to beneficiary numbers and results of trainings and capacity development activities.

·           Work with Rights & Inclusion Data Officer to ensure that the project’s database and filing system are regularly updated and the relevant statistical data concerning project activities and beneficiaries are collected and adequately stored.

·           Facilitate the internal and external evaluation teams to organize project evaluation based on project framework.

·           Support relevant partners to complete specific reports on project activities implementation.

·           Submit monthly progress reports on implementation of the partners’ capacity development action plans to the Support to DPOs Project Manager.

·           Translate documents and act as an interpreter as required from Lao to English or English to Lao if necessary.

·           Prepare all relevant requests of professional advances for specific activity and get authorized and approved it on time.

·           Check all payment vouchers and receipts from project activities implemented by relevant partners.

·           Prepare the Purchase and Service Requests (PSR) of the project activities and submit them to HI Logistic department.

·           Follow-up procurement of project materials and equipment.

·           Any other duties and tasks as assigned in line with mission objectives, outcomes, implementation and strategy

 Minimum Requirements:

·           Lao National

·           Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.

·           At least 3 years working experience with an INGO or development organization.

·           Proven knowledge and professional experience in community development and/or national advocacy initiatives support.

·           Leadership, ability to work proactively and take initiatives.

·           Excellent communication skills.

·           Planning and work plan formulation skills.

·           Excellent written and spoken English.
